So far he is called Chiyaan Vikram but from onwards we must be calling him as Dr Vikram. Yes! The University of Milan, Italy, has announced honorary doctorate to Chiyaan Vikram in the field of Fine Arts.
This has been revealed by Vikram last evening during taking part in the SRM University annual national inter-college cultural celebrations. All the students conveyed their best wishes to Vikram on this great honor. Vikram gave a brief speech and interacted with students, who were excited to know about the various aspects of his profession and personal life. Vikram also said that he finished the shooting for Deiva Magan and his next film would be with director Suseendran.
Dr. Vikram says “I am happy for this honor and will be receiving the doctorate at Milan” He also added that “Talks are still on regarding the multi starrer project with Manirathnam and will be making it officially once confirmed.”
When the students posed a question on his entry into politics our Dr said “The very first thing I don’t know is too make a public speech on stages and moreover I don’t know to tie a dhoti still”. Come on Vikram politics is not just dhoti!
Eminent classical vocalist Dr M Balamuralikrishna has asked the university authorities to establish a department for music. The vice chancellor of the university P Satyanarayana is also present at the event.
